A rapidly growing public company that supplies data centers will open a new corporate office in downtown Columbus, adding dozens of jobs to the city’s center.
Minnesota-based Forgent Power Solutions Inc. (NYSE: FPS), a manufacturer of electrical equipment for data centers and other energy-intensive industrial facilities, plans to bring its new office to a 90,000-square-foot space at 10 W. Nationwide Blvd. It will create 85 jobs and $12 million in new annual payroll.
CEO Gary Niederpruem will be among the Forgent employees based in Columbus, in addition to project management, supply chain, finance, human resources and corporate strategy positions, according to a press release.
“Forgent is scaling rapidly to meet growing demand for power infrastructure,” Niederpruem said in a statement. “Columbus offers exceptional talent and proximity to key customers, making it an ideal location for our continued growth.
“As an Ohio native, I’m proud to invest in a city that will play an important role powering the future.”
