Grandview Yard Gets Eight More Tenants

February 4th, 2016
Marla Matzer Rose, The Columbus Dispatch

Grandview Yard, the 125-acre mixed-used project being developed by Nationwide Realty Investors, announced 8 new office tenants today.

They include financial planners Hilliard Lyons; Unum Life Insurance; Seamless Logistics; the United States Navy; Northeast Family Dental Associates; FKP Architects; Executive Eye Care; and Columbus Hospitality Management, which manages hotels for Nationwide and other hotel investors.

The tenants will occupy a combined 24,000 square feet of space in existing buildings in Grandview Yard, located near the intersection of St. Rt. 315 and I-670.

Additional elements scheduled to open by summer include a Courtyard by Marriott hotel and event center, the first of three planned interconnected buildings to house Nationwide workers, the third phase of the Apartments at Grandview Yard and a new Eddie George’s Grille 27 restaurant.

Another highly anticipated addition to the project: sidewalks and a widened railroad overpass bridge on 3rd Ave, set to begin construction in July and take 12 to 18 months to complete.

The lack of sidewalks and the chokepoint on 3rd have been a sore point with neighbors, who have erected small roadside signs reading “Where Are Our Sidewalks?”

Brian Ellis, president of Nationwide Realty Investors, said a $5 million Ohio Public Works Commission grant to the city of Columbus, announced late last year and dedicated to the project, was key to starting work on the infrastructure, which is expected to carry a total cost of more than $10 million.
