Columbus Blue Jackets partner with Fanatics for a retail sportsbook to open in the Arena District

A retail sportsbook is coming to the Arena District.
The Columbus Blue Jackets are partnering with Fanatics Betting and Gaming, an online and retail sports betting organization, to open a 5,000-square-foot location adjacent to Nationwide Arena in late August.
“We’re thrilled to be partnering with the Blue Jackets to bring a world-class retail experience to the arena district in downtown Columbus,” Ari Borod, chief business officer of Fanatics Betting and Gaming, said in a release. “The Jackets are one of the youngest teams in the league, and we are excited to leverage our partnership to grow with them and complement our online sports betting experience that is currently being beta-tested in Ohio.”
“We’re excited to have this right outside our front door, where our fans can engage with live sports and sports betting in a first-class facility with a brand endemic to sports,” he said. “We’re able to offer fans a place to place their sports bets here, right before and after games and before events or after other events, giving them a (365-day) opportunity to engage in sports with the Blue Jackets brand.”
The 401 N. Front St. sportsbook will feature four betting windows, 14 self-service betting kiosks, one giant LED video wall, 16 TV monitors and a full-service restaurant.
